RE: dagger combo
# Sep 09 2005 at 8:36 AM Rating: Default
- if you have added "reist poison" then wouldnt your chances of getting the dagger effect be decreased? O_o
RE: dagger combo
# Jan 20 2007 at 7:32 PM Rating: Decent
I think the dagger will always inflict poison on you, but I could very whell be wrong

I know this is somewhat of a late response, but you can always bring poison potions with you.

What i find useful for this armour, is that... if u have a brd lv 50 JSE ring, the latent effect of -25% spell casting is trigger at yellow hp.

With brd/whm, the auto-regen is pain to keep hp to yellow for faster song casting. >_<

But what i find in another nice at xp pt is that, once i posion myself to yellow hp by a mob (-3 hp per tick) when i equip this armour, it cancel out the posion, so i keep stay in just yellow, without increase and decrase hp. So i can keep my fast cast all the time, as long as i keep posion.

Retired 69 thf. Grabbed this from AH as soon as I hit the level. Why? 3 reasons: 1) Resist poison helps if you find a mimic when picking chests/coffers. 2) It has decent defense, which is lacking for thf (solo only, not xp pt). 3) It just looks soooo much cooler than the damn Aketon...

I was fighting Urganites in Bibiki Bay and when I got poisned the regen effect didn't kick in. I was down to 31 Hp's before the poison wore. Whew!

The Urganites have very strong poison, which obviously took off more hp per tick then Regen gave back. It worked, you would've died without it.
Serket

Anyone ever got poisoned by Serket ?

Trust me you would be soooooo happy wearing this, then you know how good this armor actualy is.
hmmm.....
# Nov 22 2004 at 5:06 PM Rating: Decent
i think that the carapace set is batter (as allraune said) but im gonna get this strictly because it looks cool so what i wanna kno is if bonecrafting or auction house(???) is the only way you can get this
RE: hmmm.....
# Dec 16 2004 at 7:41 AM Rating: Decent
i think its crafted in bone using a harness, not sure though, but AH in sylph has it for only 50k
Regen
# Oct 19 2004 at 8:12 PM Rating: Decent
Hey Iddragon... Yah u can use a poison potion any time but i think the Regen will be in effect if you have Poison not use a Poison Potion to get the Regen... Plus all the regen does is pretty much cancel out Poison... By adding HP while Poison will take away HP. Proof... It says Poison: Adds "Regen" Effect. So it only adds regen if you are poisond... so it doesnt actully garbt you regen as long has you have it equiped... So in short terms

POISON TRIGGERS REGEN. NO POISON NO REGEN

I am only a lvl 20 taru war so i may be a bit off but thats what the description is saying.

You can use a poison potion to poison yourself.
RE: Regen
# Dec 10 2005 at 8:08 PM Rating: Decent
OK this is how it goes, you can use the poison potion, the resist poison effect will cancel out the poison, and then(get this)the regen kicks in. So basically, you have "Resist Poison" which either lowers the HP per tick or all together destroys the poison while still having it registered to you,(this means you can't kneel/rest)but you still have regen so you will recover HP if the "Resist Poison" effect doesn't completely diminish the HP per tick. You understand, if so rate me up!

True, but unless the armor recovers HP at a faster rate than the poison takes away HP, you won't gain any benefit from doing that.
RE: Regen
# Dec 17 2006 at 12:04 AM Rating: Decent
hmm... yes your right, its been a while but i think you heal 2 per tick with a poison potion activated... hell... that helps out even if just a little.

The stats are alright, they're purely ornimental really. Resistances, and add effects while under status ailment. If you want good gear, the Carapace set however is absolutely outstanding. It has the same look as scorpion(only it's blue instead of orange/red) and has much better stats. When in full Carapace and yellow health your defense effectively doubles and you gain a massive increase in attack. Great gear for when a DD has pulled too much hate and needs defensive gear to keep them alive. If you are a war, mnk, drk, rng, sam, or drg go ahead and look into getting this gear to supplement your standard. With a macro to switch between your main gear and this you should be able to stay alive if you do happen to pull hate. Rdm, thf, and brd most likely won't find much use for this gear. Brds might be interested for some BCNMs though where they are expected to horde lullaby a group of enemies at once.

Bonecrafting is cool, so here's a recipe from mysterytour to help catch up allakazham's database.

Bone 99
Earth Crystal
4x HQ Scorpion Shell
2x Ram Leather
1x Sheep Leather

Try it out if you can, sumbit the +1 breastplate if it works.
