Almost everyone is having this problem or something very similar. Latency, server distance, have certainly been cited.

Seems like a troll post but for other people.

Disable nagles algorithm if you havn't allready.
Use a program like Rivatuner to force pixel shader off if you need too.

I can't see the op's benchmark score being nearly that low

What is nagles algorithm and were i disable it?
And beside the lag, does my hardware is good to play this game?
In other words, It is me or FFXIV the problem???

Well you hardware on a scale from 1-10, 1 being a Pentium 4/fx5200 and 10 being a corei7980/5970; you'd be around a 3 or 4. The game should run on default settings though, which it seems it is.

So the answer to your question is both. Your machine blows but so does the beta.

Well im thinking to upgrade to a

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition CPU
ASUS M4A78L-M AMD 760G Board
4Gb 800Mhz Ram
His Radeon HD 5770 Video Card

How about that? Or do i consider something else?
This will cost me like $200 USD so.

I'm running the same CPU as you - I get 4.2-4.3K on the benchmark in low res and the game generally runs fine. I have a radeon 5850 card - but I understand low res is way more CPU dependent than GPU dependent

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.

Oh then PLEASE tell me how does it runs????
Does it lags????
Can you runt it at highest detail without slowing it???
Have you uploaded a video of ur gameplay so i can see it?
#14 Sep 10 2010 at 4:15 PM Rating: Good
videos are not allowed so no. It runs fine on low res and scores about 4.2-4.3 on the benchmark.

I also have a radeon 5850 however.
