Right I brought the game on saturday, I installed it yesterday and it installed perfectly.

I registered the game and it said that was fine and that I had my 30 free trial so I signed onto the game with my SE account and stuff but I got a error saying something about not picking any options on the SE site, so I went back and did that for a character bit ( something like 8 options available). Tried again and I keep getting the same thing. So I clicked on the pay for a month thing, but my click and buy account has been terminated due to some bust up over lord of the rings online which was sorted out but i have only just got back in touch. I sent them an email asking them to reactivate my account but I haven't got anything back yet. Should I wait for a reply from them or use my ( old email address ) to sign up for a new click and buy account. Or is there something I've done wrong before that ??? Please help :/

You should wait to hear back from Click and Buy - here is their number by the way 1-877-265-7821

You could always try to add a character option without setting up a payment method and still play for the first 30 days, but I am not certain if they require you to have the payment option before setting up the option.

I'm from England so that number won't work, sorry :/

And that's what I've been trying to do - add the character option but it takes me to the click and buy account thing even though it says I have my trial working and up and registered the game sends me back :/ sigh

I get this 50002 The proper options must be added to a FINAL FANTASY XIV service account before a character can be created. Return to the login screen and access the Square Enix Account Maragemment Syster to add Options.

I would suggest making a brand new Click-and-Buy account then. Forget about your other account and register one to a different e-mail / account.

Thanks for your advice :) I was thinking of doing it anyway, cept I'd have to keep swapping between emails, sigh but I guess I'll give it a go :)

This happened to me.

If you made the same mistake I did, you entered the code for the Onion helm, instead of the code for the game itself. Easy to do, since the packaging had the Onion Helm code right in your face when you pulled the CD out, and the game code is on the back of the manual.

So when you used the Onion Helm code, it registers under a Final Fantasy 14 header. So your Square account LOOKS like you have a Final Fantasy 14 account, but you don't. You can add character slots and other stuff, but you can't play the game.

Register the game code from the back of the manual, and you'll be set.

Nope I'm positive it's the game registration code - I don't have the onion helm - have the goggles but haven't put that code in. Hmm :/
