I've never actually gained MP from using either these two tp skills... And they seem to miss 3/5ths of the time compared with spirit dart... Is there any point to these skills atm?
They really seem like a total waste of AP.

1.) What else do you do with your TP?
2.) They miss a lot, but if they hit, they do good damage (about 3 times the amount of Spirit Dart).
3.) The MP they give back is not much (7-10?), but adds up.

Overall, a pretty good skill, in my opinion...?

Not good. Over time it adds up? Sure, but also over time your using more MP than what you're making from the skill. It's a piece of trash ability lol

Radiance is pretty good actually.

It takes about 3 spirit darts to get enough TP, and it's the only thing you have TP for anways, so you might as well use it.

I end up landing it 1-2 times per fight which adds up nicely but won't keep my MP topped out. Combine this with your rank 2 MP recovery skill and you'll never run out of MP on the field.

This. A good damage ability with no downside -> good ability.
After playing since closed beta, I have yet to see the day where I run out of MP.

even if you just get back 5 mp per time used, I bet you can use it at least 2 times per minute, in the 10 minutes cold down of Tranquility those are 100 extra mp.

I'd hardly call it "a piece off trash ability"

raise piety to increase hit rate on radiance/damnation.... seems to work fine at around 35ish.

i use these two skills exclusively as my TP drain. if you fight blue con monsters, spirit dart should easily give about 600 or so tp per hit. i tend to build up 2k then do radiance/damnation back to back, and can get roughly 4 of them in a fight. 30-40 mp = 3-4 free heals. i haven't had to use mana regen skill once since i switched to this combo. unfortunately, it is not as effective when fighting tough monsters since you get less TP per spirit dart.

this is also not very effective when you play with spells since you don't get TP.

MP returned is 5% of damage done. I'll double check those numbers at some point in the future, but I use it on weak mobs between oranges/reds because my hit rate (and damage) is significantly better on those than the ones I use for skillups. And, as has been said, there's no other use for TP for me right now on Thaumaturge or Conjurer, and the damage if it does hit is a nice little chunk.
