Hello everyone!

Thinking of coming back to FFXIV - The changes I've seen/read up on are looking good and I'm glad they are coming.

However I can't seem to find anything on the Fatigue system. Is this something that is still in place? Or something they plan to change any time soon?

No fatigue, and no physical level will be soon. There will be no exp/sp penalties for wanting to play one class soon. I don't know what this means for using skills/spells from other classes, but fatigue is dead.

It's great, but there still might be some skills from other classes that you will want, so plan ahead. But no, you won't be herded into either logging off or doing something different just because anymore.

Let's not forget about gathering fatigue.

That still exists. Thank you SE.

Once patch 1.19 comes around on the 30th, skill points and physical levels will be abolished. With the new patch, classes will then level up much like they did in FFXI. I would like to point out that the fatigue system as it was is completely gone for the most part as of patch 1.18.

The only fatigue left in the game as of now is the gathering fatigue in which gathering jobs can gather up around 250 successful attempts while gathering and they will then end up breaking all items they dig up. I just wanted to clear this up since nobody has mentioned that the "fatigue" is gone for all DoW,DoM, and DoH classes.

Gotta love how DoL/DoH jobs are like the red-headed stepchildren of SE. I still don't understand why they can't just make a game that makes ALL the classes useful and equal... you know, the one they said that FFXIV would be... >.<

You've really hit a sore spot with me. I'll try not to rant.... too much... but, yes, when I heard Gathering and Crafting activities would have their own classes I was extremely excited. However SE has just tossed the idea of DoH/DoL as actual CLASSES in the gutter. The variety of activities, the armor/tools available, the recipes/gathering locations available are all sorely lacking. Considering, for example, Miner is an actual CLASS like Lancer, why on earth am I stuck at Grade 5 nodes making 90sp a strike trying to grind the last 300,000 points to reach 50 while DoW/M classes can party against mobs appropriate for their level???? Why wouldn't Grand Companies have equal quests and rewards for DoL/H classes???

The cynical might answer, well because the interest isn't there like it is for DoW/M, but I think there would be equal interest if the content was equally interesting. Instead we're stuck with almost zero variety for these seemingly toss-away classes that SE has not shown any plans to improve.

I really hope things change...
