2 Homepoints: 1 Inn & 1 Other...Like it or Not?Follow

So I was read the majority of the thread on the main forums about this. I LOVE this idea. Now some people have been saying many things like Airships will be obsolete and all that. Personally I see this as a great thing where you set your homepoint in a location of high anima costs that is far away. I really don't even use anima all that much and I still happen to stay sub 15 at all times. This could save anima for teleporting from Ifrit Cave to Grid, etc. I mean some people will set 2 cities but that's their choice they are missing out on using it in another location.

OK, so some people say all this is just for the lazy. I am a lazy person because I don't to spend 1/4th of my gameplay time on a **** bird and I want to actually do something I enjoy? With all that being said I am not a huge fan of the anima system and I believe it needs a revamp in some way. With the current state the game is in I think this fits well. In 2.0 we will see what they have planned and it may be completely different.

What's everyone think about this? Do you like it or dislike it?

I read the thread on the official forums, too.
And immediately thought: if that's what people
over there worry about, there is little to be gained

Given that Return is 15:00 timer, I wouldn't mind having two possible options you mentioned. It's a 15 minute cooldown, it's not like that can easily be abused. Airships run on roughly a 5 minute timer, so it's not like it's breaking it.

What's not to like? The real benefit of this will be being able to have a home point set in the field.

Personally, it always irritated me that setting your home point in the field when doing quests or other difficult non-leve content meant you had to waste anima later to port back to civilization. Now I won't feel obligated to risk having to re-teleport out into the field because I didn't want to set my home point.

I can see this being fairly useful for those raiding as well, for obvious reasons.

(I am wondering if this will persist to 2.0, or if we'll finally see return when dead function like a graveyard style system.)

Love it, we can finally use HomePoints for what they are. A return point for what we are doing. And the Inn return point works to end the day. Don't get me wrong, I will probably use them for leves, I won't deny it. But I imagine they will be on a shared timer. I think the biggest benefit for this will be the ifrit and moogle fights where someone is always frying their anima (one of the reasons I don't do them that frequently). And yeah, my in will definitely stay in Gridania.
